The Destiny Summit 2017: Eye Witness Account!

Napoleon Bonaparte conquered the world in his own way and many were those who lodged their loyalty with him. His reign that the glory that came with it has been nicely rolled back into the tombs of history. He lived and died for vainglory. The time is here when men who can live and die for a worthwhile course are on high demand. It is against this backdrop that Solidage Africa Foundation (Cameroon) in Partnership with the Youth group of Nkwen Baptist Church Bamenda(Cameroon), organized a landmark destiny summit on the theme “A date with destiny” which held on the 27th of May 2017 at the premises of Nkwen Baptist Church, Bamenda. This program would go into the annals of history as the program that helped many young people to find themselves and to maximize their potential.

This program started at 8:40 AM and ran till about 3:10 PM. It was attended by well over 50 participants who came yearning to learn the principles that make for destiny-centered living. A total of four lessons were dished out in this program by four keynote speakers and the lessons were subsequently digested in the different group cells which were led by various facilitators.

The first lesson of the day was “UNDERSTANDING DESTINY”, expertly handled by Ambassador George Charisma. In this lesson, it was unveiled that man’s life was meant to be the progressive fulfillment of divine prophecies and that one can only succeed in life by discovering and keying into destiny.

The second lesson was diligently delivered by Mr. Lesley; the Youth President of Nkwen Baptist Church. He talked on the topic “UNDERSTANDING MYSELF”. He took time to clear the air of the dust that identity crises raises and gave helpful guidelines on how one can find oneself.

Mr. Mbiydzenyuy Ferdinant came on board as the third speaker and elaborated on “UNDERSTANDING TIMES AND SEASONS”. He passionately spoke about the operational pattern of God as it relates to times and seasons and challenged the participants to seek to know what time it is and what season they are in, so that they can make the most of the wind of opportunity that blows in each season.

The Summit was beautifully capped with the masterful presentation of Ambassador Arthur Njume as he spoke on “UNDERSTANDING FOCUS”. In his characteristically pedagogic style, Ambassador Arthur took time to demystify the complex concept of Focus. He made a good case for focus by insisting that no matter how talented one is, if one lacks a focus, one will waste ones resources ultimately.

It was indeed an experience of a lifetime as the participants attested to the fact that they had been impacted beyond estimation. It was indeed a mountaintop experience for several of the participants who were getting some of the principles for the first time. As soon as summit ended, an online portal was created for the participants as well as the facilitators to preserve the impact of the summit so that it doesn’t waste away as run-offs. A follow up Summit has been billed for June 8, 2017.
