Donation By Saf-Kenya To Amazing Grace International Children Home In Nairobi, Kenya

Let's get real and face the moral pantheon of reality that hits us every day. Each day 22000 children die due to poverty according to UNICEF. Right from our homes to offices, there is always that boy on the street without anyone to call a father or mother, that individual who can hardly get to eat, that individual who is battling to survive the dark forces of our time, poverty, scarcity, disease, illiteracy, I can go on ad infinitum.

The fact remains, man is always inclined towards comfort. Man is to comfort as to what bee is to honey. We are filled with swollen concern for ourselves. The sense of I-ness and its close siblings 'me', 'my' and 'mine' has eaten deep into us like a malignant tumour. We get comfortable with vanity and lose track of God's purpose: to love and to serve Him.

We are not loving Him when we sit in deathly certitude and turn a blind eye to a neighbor who needs help. Neither are we serving Him, if we are not being of service to those around us. Fortunately, we were fortified by the gifts of the Holy Spirit to do this. Much benignly, is His boundless love? It is not sufficient to bag these gifts and admire them like trinkets in chest.

We need to " pay a debt ", we need to market them and fan to flames God's love for us, extension of kinship love to non-kins. If we fail to do this, our continent called Africa will fracture like a debilitant bone. Together, let's awaken the sleeping giants in us, together let us conquer the dark forces of our time (poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, ignorance et cetera) by doing the little things in extraordinary ways.

It is against this backdrop that SAF Kenya Branch in collaboration with Jesus for All Nations visits Amazing Grace International Children Home at Kasarani in Nairobi, Kenya to reach out to the orphanage.

SAF is all about reaching out to our communities.

Join SAF today and together, let us make Africa an utopia for all. You cannot help everyone but you can always help someone. SAF-Kenya has done it. Have you?  Join SAF and let's make a difference in our communities, countries and the world!

SAF,  making Africa a better place.
